I've looked everywhere and can't find the answer (maybe my question is so obvious that's why), but how do you set the aperture when taking single frame shots. The lowest my light meter goes is 2 fps (it's a Sekonic L-508). What am I missing here?

Another great question from another new poster.

    I'm really impressed.

Generally, the single frame exposure will most likely (notice the vague descriptive wording) match
the slowest frame rate shutter speed.

So if your camera has a 24 FPS, 18 FPS, and a single frame FPS, the shutter speed at single frame will probably be the one at 18 FPS.

HOWEVER, another way to verify this is to put the camera on a tripod, set the filming speed to 18, depress the trigger just enough to actually activate the auto exposure meter, then switch to single frame and see if the exposure meter changes any.
